From the US to the Costa Brava: two deals in one week

GrabrFi had never heard of Club Tennis d'Aro. In July, the American fintech found the club's padel circuit on Sponsero, signed a first deal within days and paid the second one 75 seconds after the club said yes.

The contrarian bet

GrabrFi wants Spain to know its product. The obvious playbook says: buy more ads. Pay Meta, pay Google, retarget, repeat. Daria R., GrabrFi's CMO, looked at that playbook and decided the crowded feed was exactly the place not to be.

She wanted the brand next to people instead: in their neighborhoods, in their clubs, in the sport they play every week. Awareness you can shake hands with. The idea was never the problem. The problem was that buying real-world sponsorship used to mean agencies, phone calls, and months.

Daria R., CMO of GrabrFi
Everyone is doing the same digital marketing: pay Meta, pay Google, repeat. We decided to be the contrarian. People are bombarded with ads and AI content on their phones, so we went the opposite way, closer to our customers in the physical world, sustaining sport and real communities. Sponsero has the easiness of a digital campaign. It just happens on a real court.

The club

Club Tennis d'Aro sits in Platja d'Aro, one of the busiest corners of the Costa Brava. Every summer it runs the Padel Circuit Estiu by Magister: four tournaments from April to August, plus a Final Master in October. Full courts, welcome packs, gift bags, match-week announcements. Real sponsorship inventory that most brands never hear about.

This year the club put all of it on Sponsero as clear packages, each with deliverables, a price, and a Buy now button. Its inventory stopped being a PDF in a drawer and went on the shelf, visible to any brand in the world. Including one from the United States that nobody at the club had imagined.

Two deals in one week

GrabrFi started small: the gift-bag sponsorship, with its brand in every player's welcome pack and coverage during match week.

Days later it came back for the bigger package: sponsor mentions all match week, on site and on social, and its logo on match-day apparel across the circuit. No negotiation marathon, no chasing invoices. The club said yes, and 75 seconds later the deal was paid. Both deals are signed and fully paid out.

Why it worked

For a brand, Sponsero feels like the tools a marketing team already uses: browse real packages, see prices and deliverables, pay in one click, get delivery in writing. For a club, it turns quiet inventory into listings any brand in the world can find. Nobody hired an agency. Nobody chased an invoice.

Brands have always loved our summer circuit. The hard part was everything around the handshake. With Sponsero our whole inventory is on sale, and sponsors find us. A fintech from the United States signed twice in one week. A year ago we could not have imagined that.

Two deals in one week, a sponsor from another continent, and a season that runs until October. That is what club inventory looks like when it is packaged like a product.
